Northern Thailand’s romantic landscape of misty mountains, friendly hill-tribes, and magnificent temples, along with a cooler climate, has made it a favorite holiday destination for both Thai and foreign visitors. In addition, the Lanna culture of Northern Thailand makes it charmingly different from Thailand’s other regions.

The golden age of the Lanna Kingdom in the 15th century not only left an enduring heritage to it descendents by producing an exceptionally courteous people with a proud history, a rich architectural style, unique foods and a gracious way of life, but it left a legacy of ancient secrets for health, healing, and rejuvenation. As one might expect, northern spas and spa treatments reflect the influence of the health and healing traditions practiced as a part of the Lanna culture and makes use of local ingredients such as: lemongrass, turmeric, and prai.

The Lanna culture has also had a strong impact on the design of northern spas, especially on the architecture. A spa treatment at a northern spa is more than just a relaxing massage; it is an essential part of the northern Thai cultural experience. Everyone will benefit from a visit to a Lanna Spa of northern Thailand.
